The Philadelphia Tornadoes dropped two Region 5-3A games last week in prep baseball action. The Tornadoes lost to Choctaw Central 3-2 and Southeast Lauderdale 9-2. This will be a busy week for Philadelphia as they have four games scheduled. They were to visit Lamar School on Tuesday and Forest on Friday. Saturday, they will host a three-team tournament at Burnside Park with Noxapater and Hamilton participating. The schedule is as follows: • 10 a.m. – Philadelphia vs. Noxapater; • Noon – Noxapater vs. Hamilton; • 2 p.m. – Philadelphia vs. Hamilton.] Choctaw Central 3 Tornadoes 2 The Warriors scored three runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Tornadoes. Philadelphia scored one in the sixth and one in the seventh. Javon Pickens took the pitching loss. Philadelphia finished with four hits. Parker Wood, Mark Hunt, TK Bingham and Griffin Gentry all had one hit. SE Lauderdale 9 Tornadoes 2 The Tigers kept up a steady offensive attack as they knocked off the Tornadoes. Southeast scored one in the first, three in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth. Philadelphia answered with one in the first and one in the fifth. Jackson Ward took the pitching loss. Deondre Fox led the Tornadoes’ five hit attack with a double while Wood, Pickens, Ward and Malek Collier all hit a single.
