Deron Donald

Coach Deron Donald, originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida has been named Head Football Coach of the SSS Spartans after serving as the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls Head Coach from 2016-2019 in Cumberland County. During that time, he took the team to two state playoffs in a very competitive PAC 9 conference with the likes of Southview High School and Terry Stanford. In 2017 they were 9-4 and played for the conference title game against Terry Sanford.

Coach Donald has been coaching for 15 years between Cumberland County Schools and Pompano Beach, Florida. Coach Donald played Collegiate football at Fayetteville State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in May 2005. He went on to earn a Master’s in Special Education in 2010.

Coach Donald is married and he and his wife have 4 children. Coach Donald has served as a motivational speaker in the Fayetteville community, is a board member of Life Changing Mentoring, and is an Elder and Board Leader at Chosen Remnant Ministries.
